3 New Designated Affordable Homes
With Stage 1B properties now starting to enter the market it’s a great pleasure to announce that three new Designated Affordable Homes releases will all be open for applications over the next few weeks.
Offered to qualified first home buyers only the price of these properties will be no more than 90% of the average Hamilton City residential home value as published by Quotable Value (QV).
Jack’s Landing received approval under the now defunct Special Housing Area legislation which directed a portion of the house and land packages be deemed affordable. At least 10 per cent of Jack’s Landing houses will be sold for no more than 90 per cent of Hamilton’s average house price as of the most recent June, 11 affordable properties as part of the 109-house development.
Designated Affordable Homes will be allocated via a ballot system run by the non-profit organisation Habitat for Humanity.
One of the things that Habit for Humanity made clear to us was that every house that we can allocate as affordable, will make a huge difference to a family’s life. It’s an opportunity to build significant equity on Day One which is a life-changing scenario.
Jack’s Landing director Blake Richardson.
