Hi Niki & Richard, and welcome to Hamilton! For the record, please can you tell us a little more about yourselves.

“Hello, yes, of course, we are Niki & Richard Swart, both in our late 50s and currently visiting from our home in Angola, Africa.”

Can you tell us how you first heard about Jack’s Landing?

“We were searching the internet for properties in New Zealand to relocate to be closer to our daughter, who is based in Hamilton.”

What makes Jack’s Landing different from other developments that you looked at?

“The central location was a standout. Proximity to Hamilton Lake, Hamilton CBD and Waikato Hospital was a definite difference from other developments. Thanks to the fixed-price turnkey contract and because of the established companies involved in this project, we have also felt our investment to be secure.”

Now that you’re on-site in person what are your initial thoughts about the development layout?

“The green spaces are fantastic. We have looked at another couple of areas/developments while we have been visiting, and Jack’s seems to be so much more spacious. Some of the other developments were quite claustrophobic and felt like houses were being squeezed in, whereas the street parking, grass verges, and wide main roads feel really welcoming here.”

And your thoughts about the properties and building design?

“We love the feeling of space throughout. Again some of those other developments felt small in the three-bed designs. I think our Jack’s three-bed is around 20msq bigger than the others we looked at, which makes a massive difference! We love the larger room sizes and the open plan layouts.”

How have you found the Jack’s Landing team’s communication through the sales & building process?

“Pete has been outstanding from the start. He arranged a Zoom call with us when we showed interest in the property and communicated in a timely fashion as developments progressed. Regular updates, photos, and video links have been tremendous as we could follow the progress from afar. Being overseas would typically create difficulties, but we have really felt included in the process.”
